Today marks 49 more days to the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Today, let's talk trash. What do we do with all that garbage? Ask students what could happen if more people continue to make more garbage. Show this film clip from WALL-E. Discuss the problems with garbage.
Then, use this infographic to discuss what happens to our garbage. Ask students what we can do to reduce the amount of garbage we produce.
After reading the infographic, ask students to use entrepreneurial thinking to rethink their current behaviors. What we can do to reduce the amount of trash we have? How can we rethink the way we deal with trash? You can use the curated resources on our America Recycles Day page to teach more about recycling.
